1. Do not eat or drink anything the morning of surgery or the night before surgery.
2. Aspirin or Aspirin containing medications (Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Celebrex) or other anti-inflammatory medication may not be taken within 7 days of surgery. Please consult your primary care physician or Dr. Frankel if you are taking any other blood thinners, such as, Coumadin, Warfarin, Plavix, Clopidogrel, Ticlid, Ticlopidine.
3. Please have any preoperative testing, such as blood tests, chest x-ray, EKG, completed within 2 weeks of your surgery date. If Dr. Frankel specifically requests that you have a pre-surgical physical exam performed by your primary physician prior to surgery, please have the pre-operative testing completed prior to visiting your primary doctor. Please follow up with the testing facility to make sure your pre-operative test results are faxed to your primary physician's office. If the pre-operative testing was done in the Milford or Sparta Wellness Center, their contacts are 570-409-1012 and 973-726-4232, respectively.

5. Arrive 1.5 hours prior to your scheduled surgery time.
6. Bring an escort!! All patients undergoing anesthesia must have a responsible adult to escort them home after surgery.
7. Bring your insurance information.
8. For contact lens wearers, bring your contact lenses in their containers and bring saline solution.
9. Do not wear makeup, jewelery or nail polish.
