1. Keep the dressing intact for today
2. Soak your foot in warm water and Epsom Salt for 10 minutes once daily for 3 days. Add ½ cup of Epsom Salt to a large pan/bowl of water.
3. Apply antibiotic ointment( Bacitracin, Neosporin, Triple Antibiotic) and a band-aid to the wound.
4. You may experience minor discomfort or a throbbing sensation following the procedure. This is normal. Take advil, motrin, aleve or tylenol if needed. Elevating your foot also helps. If the discomfort persists, the dressing applied may have become to tight because of swelling, in this case, remove the bandage and apply a band-aid.
5. Minor bleeding through the bandage is normal.
